Romarm model Romak-3 chambered in the impressive 7.62x54R cartridge, is the sporting version of the Romanian Military PSL sniper rifle. This weapon is identical in almost every respect to the original military version of the PSL except for modifications to comply with the U.S. import laws. These modifications deal with BATF restrictions to the trigger group all other parts are identical. The Romanian PSL was designed in 1974 when the Soviet Union ceased sharing technical information and exporting military equipment to Romania, as a consequence of the latter’s refusal to join the Invasion of Czechoslovakia. It is very similar in appearance to the Soviet SVD Dragunov but internally different as the PSL is based off the RPK light machinegun.
